Distillery Information

Built at the end of the 18th century, Uitvlugt is located on the western bank of the River Demerara, near the town of the same name founded by Dutch settlers in 1752. Nationalized in 1979 like many of the country’s other distilleries, it was part of Demerara Distillers Ltd. until it closed in 1999.
