This Japanese sake is incredibly versatile created to be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a lower ABV alternative to spirits in cocktails. The sake is produced in the Niigata region of Japan using local rice and prized water from the Kaji River.
Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.
Palate: Soft and silky in texture, with crisp notes of orchard fruit nestling on subtly savoury layers beneath.
Finish: Elegant long lasting aftertaste.
In the 1790s, our first owner, Hidematsu Ichishima, moved out from the head family and started a sake production site where Aumont brewery now exists. The very first sake brand was named Suwa-Mori after the Suwa Shrine which stands in front of the brewery.
