Blair Athol 8 Year Old 2015 Thompson Bros 48.5% 70cl

Independent bottler Thompson Bros is back with a fascinating Blair Athol release. Distilled back in 2015 and matured in a pair of Oloroso sherry octaves, this is a powerful, youthful expression bursting with dried fruit, walnut, maple and even eucalyptus notes. Octave casks are tiny, imparting more flavour and colour due to increased liquid-to-wood surface area. A must-taste bottling from the Highland maker.

Distilled at Blair Athol and filled into 2 Oloroso Octaves on the 22nd of June 2015. This was then bottled at 8 years old by Thompson Bros in January 2024.
