Tasting Notes: The nose is bright citrus, mineral-rich soil, hints of nectarine (both skin and flesh), dried leaves, raw cacao, ground black pepper and chili pepper skin.

The palate has more raw cacao, green pepper skins, herbal, allspice, light hints of vanilla and wafts of delicious smoke.

The finish is long and herbaceous with notes of citrus peel, peppery spice, and anise.

Arette story:Eduardo and Jaime Orendain represent the fourth generation of Tequila producers in their family. Eduardo is also a former mayor of the town of Tequila and president of the National Chamber for the Tequila Industry (CNIT). Arettes El Llano Distillery (NOM 1109) operates in the building where the Orendain family history of Tequila production began in the early 1900s. El Llano was rebuilt in 1978 and Tequila Arette was born in 1986.

The familys estate-grown agave hails from the surrounding volcanic valley and is harvested at 8-10 years old, employing traditional tools and techniques. All of Arettes Tequilas are double pot distilled. Arette only produces their own 100% Agave Tequilas and does not use glycerol, caramel, oak extract or any other additives.

Arette’s Clasica line of traditional Tequilas offers the perfect combination of heritage, craft and value – cooked slow and low in autoclave ovens and fermented in open stainless steel tanks. Additionally, the Artesanal Suave bottlings are unique expressions masterfully produced using traditional brick ovens and fermented in concrete tanks, original to the distillery.
