Originally launched in 1997, the Ardbeg 17 Year Old was among the first whiskies released after the Distillery reopened, before being retired in 2004. With its surprisingly delicate character, yet unmistakably Ardbeg style, it quickly won the hearts of the Committee and set a remarkable benchmark for future releases.

Now, 25 years later, Master Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden has faithfully recreated this iconic expression, carefully replicating its original flavour profile. Just like the original, it has been bottled at 40% ABV, capturing the essence of the whisky that made its mark all those years ago.
